Giacomo   Nerici




About
Giacomo Nerici is currently postdoctoral researcher at the University of Salerno and adjunct professor at the University of Turin and the Polytechnic Institute of Turin. His research interests have initially focused on indigenous museums, contemporary shamanism and the heritage-making of sacred sites among the Sami people (Northern Norway). During his PhD at the University of Milan-Bicocca, he conducted an 18-month research fieldwork on the rediscovery of traditions within the cultural ‘awakening’ and the UNESCO inscription campaign in the Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia). He has published research articles in scientific journals and edited volumes. He has also co-authored (with Colajanni A. and Giancristofaro L.) the book "L’antropologia collaborativa. Una nuova visione del rapporto tra ricercatori e gruppi sociali", Rome, CISU (2024), and is the author of the monograph "Sulle orme dei nostri antenati. Riappropriazioni culturali e usi del passato tra i Sami norvegesi", Rome, CISU (2021).
