About
I am a postdoctoral research fellow focusing on climate change adaptation, food security and community resilience in the US affiliated Pacific Islands. I have a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, with specializations in medical and indigenous anthropology. My research interests include: critical theory applied to biomedical and indigenous medical systems; colonialism, medical pluralism, global health, agroecosystems and food security, traditional ecological knowledge, and tropical ethnobotany. My doctoral research focused on indigenous articulations of health and healing in Tonga through the lens of female cancer experience.
