Carola   Betzold

Postdoctoral Fellow
Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB)
University of Antwerp (Belgium)

About
I am currently a lecturer at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Göttingen and fellow at the Institute of Development Policy and Management at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). My research centers on environmental and in particular climate change politics, with a focus on small island states, in the Pacific and beyond. My current project studies the links between development aid and adaptation to climate change, and in particular focuses on adaptation to coastal change in small island developing states. In this context, I conducted first fieldwork in the Comoros in 2015.

Before coming to Göttingen, I was a postdoctoral research fellow in Antwerp and at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg.
