About |
I have a broad regional interest in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific, with particular emphasis on Indonesia and Melanesia. My anthropological research focuses on issues of development, governance, power, violence, education, gender, religiosity, millenarianism, and culture as a system that is continuously modified. I am interested in designing and undertaking research that takes a lively interest in the history, use and meaning of indigenous knowledge and local forms of organisation as the basis for decision-making pertaining to development, education, health, natural resource management, justice, and other vital activities |
