Dr Yacine Benhalima is a historian who specializes in war history and its political, diplomatic and (post)colonial ramifications in the contemporary French-speaking Pacific, with an emphasis in Tahiti and French Polynesia (19th and 20th centuries). He holds a PhD from the University of French Polynesia and the Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) since November 2025 ; his thesis, prepared in a cotutelle registration, relates to the Free French in Tahiti and French Polynesia during the Second World War (1940-1947). |
