How to get from the airport to the university

Take the S8 (S-Bahn) from the airport to the city. You can buy a one-way-ticket at the ticket machine. Get off at “Marienplatz” and take the U3 (direction: Moosach) or U6 (direction: Garching-Forschungszentrum) and get off at the second station which is “Universität”.


How to get from the main station ("Hauptbahnhof") to the university

Take the S-Bahn (any one from S1 to S8; direction “Ostbahnhof”) and get off at “Marienplatz” (second station). Then take the U3 (direction: Moosach) or U6 (direction: Garching-Forschungszentrum) and get off at “Universität”.
