- Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health
The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health (ANZJPH) publishes peer-reviewed research into public health, relevant to researchers, practitioners and policy makers. The Journal is multidisciplinary and research reported includes formal epidemiological inquiries into the correlates and causes of diseases and health-related behaviour, analyses of public policy affecting health and disease, and detailed studies of the cultures and social structures within which health and illness exist. The Journal has a major focus on Australia and New Zealand but also publishes articles from other countries with implications for Australia and New Zealand.

Commonwealth Health Online is an online resource dedicated to health in the Commonwealth. The website consists of 53 country profiles focusing on child and maternal mortality, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health, health systems, current health issues and progress towards the Health Millennium Development Goals. - Department of Public Health - University of Otago
The Department of Public Health, University of Otago focuses on the study and prevention of disease, prolonging life and promoting health at a population level. The Department teaches undergraduate and postgraduate public health papers, courses and programmes and carries out a range of research on critical public health issues including cancer and screening, healthy eating, health services research and prioritisation, housing, sustainability and the environment, inequalities, infectious diseases, Māori health and tobacco. Research groups and centres hosted by the Department of Public Health include the Health Environment and Infection Research Unit, the Health Promotion and Policy Research Unit, the Health Inequalities Research Programme and the Te Rōpū Rangahau Hauora A Eru Pōmare (Eru Pōmare Māori Health Research Centre).
- Health Research Council of New Zealand
The Health Research Council is the Crown agency responsible for managing the Government of New Zealand’s investment in health research. The Council’s mission is ‘benefiting New Zealand through health research’, with a vision of improved health and quality of life for all. The Health Research Council’s functions are: advising the Minister and administering funds in relation to national health research policy; fostering the recruitment, education, training, and retention of those engaged in health research in New Zealand; initiating and supporting health research; undertaking consultation to establish priorities in health research; promoting and disseminating the results of health research to encourage their contribution to health science, policy and delivery; and ensuring the development and application of appropriate assessment standards by committees or subcommittees that assess health research proposals.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) is an independent global health research center at the University of Washington that provides high-quality information on population health, its determinants, and the performance of health systems. Among other projects, the IHME leads The Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study, a study which captures premature death and disability from more than 300 diseases and injuries in 188 countries, including 11 Pacific Island countries, by age and sex, from 1990 to the present. - Direct access to country-specific ressource

- Journal of Primary Health Care
The Journal of Primary Health Care (JPHC) is a peer-reviewed research journal designed to meet the information needs of New Zealand general practitioners, practice nurses and community pharmacists plus other primary health care practitioners and the patients and communities they serve. The content is multi-disciplinary and includes papers on Maori, Pacific and Asian health issues, health care delivery, health promotion, epidemiology, public health and medical sociology of interest to a primary health care provider audience. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed quantitative and qualitative original research, systematic reviews and papers on improving performance. JPHC is published quarterly.

The National Institute for Public Health and Mental Health Research (NIPHMHR) of the Auckland University of Technology’s mission is to conduct high quality public and mental health research which contributes to the reduction of health disparities, improves the health of New Zealanders, and generates and extends the knowledge it has gathered. The Institute comprises of eight research centres and a number of research programmes including the Taupua Waiora Centre for Māori Health Research, the Centre for Migrant and Refugee Research, The Centre for Child Health Research and The Centre for Pacific Health and Development Research.

The School of Population Health of the University of Auckland's goal is to provide the knowledge and skills to improve the health of all New Zealanders, by focusing on factors that affect the wellbeing of entire populations. The school’s expertise covers all aspects of primary care, health services, and public health. Based at the Tämaki Campus, the School includes the following sections: General Practice & Primary Care; Health Systems; Audiology; Pacific Health, Social & Community Health; and Epidemiology & Biostatistics. In addition, the School houses the Clinical Trials Research Unit, Te Kupenga Hauora Mäori, and the Centre for Longitudinal Studies. Also located within the school are the Centre for Asian and Ethnic Minority Health Research (CAHRE) and The Global Health Group.

Among others, HealthStats includes statistics on the health, nutrition and population-related Millennium Development Goals, on health equity and thematic data on population dynamics, nutrition, reproductive health, health financing, health workforce and health facilities use, immunization, malaria and tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
