The Health and Social Agency of New Caledonia is the institution in charge of health prevention and promotion in New Caledonia. The Agency’s work focuses on seven main areas: addiction, breast and cervical cancers, diabetes, rheumatic fever, oral and dental health, obesity and overweight and sexual health.

The Pasteur Institute is an international research institute of excellence with a mission to advance science, medicine and public health. It is a private, non-profit foundation with recognized charitable status entrusted with four core missions of public interest: research, education, public health, and valorisation of scientific research via technology transfer and industrial partnerships. The Pasteur Institute in New Caledonia is part of the Pasteur Institute International Network. It plays a leading role at the national level in research and surveillance activities on leptospirosis, dengue and other arboviruses, rheumatic fever and on the epidemiology of infectious diseases. It is also a medical biology and environmental safety laboratory. The Pasteur Institute in New Caledonia is also an excellence centre in teaching and training and participates in the training of health agents in New Caledonia and neighbouring countries and territories in the South Pacific.

The Medical Bulletin of New Caledonia and French Polynesia is a journal for clinical practitioners in New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Pacific Region. Its purpose is to provide a platform for exchange of knowledge among health professionals with the aim of improving health care and prevention.
