The website consists of 53 country profiles focusing on child and maternal mortality, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health, health systems, current health issues and progress towards the Health Millennium Development Goals. - Faculty of Medicine - National University of Samoa
The Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Samoa, formerly Oceania University of Medicine, offers a degree programme of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The programme aims to provide students with an undergraduate degree in medicine that will produce broadly educated, knowledgeable and competent graduates capable of practicing medicine safely, professionally and effectively as doctors in the health context of Samoa and the Pacific.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) is an independent global health research center at the University of Washington that provides high-quality information on population health, its determinants, and the performance of health systems. The Samoa Medical Journal (SMJ) is produced by the Oceania University of Medicine in partnership with the Samoa Ministry of Health and the Samoa Medical Association. The SMJ is intended to support and encourage medical research in Samoa and the Pacific as well as providing a source of current information to practising physicians. The journal focuses on the Pacific situation – epidemiology, public health, research, interesting case studies, reviews of endemic diseases, local medical news and reviews of relevant articles and books published elsewhere. The journal aims to publish three times yearly.
- Samoa National Health Services
The National Health Service (NHS) is the main government provider of health services for Samoa. The NHS was established on the 1st July 2006 under the National Health Service Act 2006. The establishment of NHS as a state owned public beneficiary body separated the health service delivery functions from the Ministry of Health which now focuses on health sector strategic planning, policy development and monitoring. NHS operates all of the hospitals and health centres. It is also the main provider for medical imaging services, the sole provider of medical laboratory testing, and its pharmacy services cater to a significant portion of national pharmaceutical needs.

It contains regional, country and topic dashboards displaying tables and graphs with the latest data and trends on health, nutrition and population. Among others, HealthStats includes statistics on the health, nutrition and population-related Millennium Development Goals, on health equity and thematic data on population dynamics, nutrition, reproductive health, health financing, health workforce and health facilities use, immunization, malaria and tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
